Gut microbes are strongly associated with the occurrence and prognosis of different metabolic diseases in which obesity and type 2 diabetes (T2D) are very evident. My broad interest lies to get an in depth insight to understand how gut microbes are related to the prognosis of obesity and T2D and the global signature patterns of gut microbes during this disease transition. My work also aim to decipher the difference between the obesity and T2D condition with respect to gut microbiome association with host.
