Research Interest
My broad research area is Meta’Omics and Systems Biology. Alteration of microbial composition in obesity is evident. It forms a complex biological system that leads to the condition which is yet to be understood. I am particularly interested in working with obese gut microbial data to model (in-silico) the host-gut microbial interaction by using a systems biology approach and understand how the disease state is maintained. The improved mechanistic understanding will be useful to rationally manipulate the gut microbiome in order to alleviate the condition.
